Project Your Vote! 2020 / 2024

Project Your Vote uses original slow-motion video and high-powered projectors to project large-scale imagery connecting the Civil Rights movement to present day. They were projected onto buildings, at polling locations, and near hard to find ballot drop boxes across ten states before the 2020 and 2024 elections. Powerful visuals show giant figures holding historic civil rights signs and rising from a crouch to standing as the image slowly transitions from black and white to color. It was projected in key battlegrounds states via our open source downloadable DIY Projection Kit, which includes the footage and a guide on how to project in public.

Project Your Vote could only be realized in deep partnership with BIPOC artists, projectionists, organizers, and community partners including civil rights organizations, including civil rights organizations, The Center for Artistic Activism’s Unstoppable Voters initiative, Color of Change, NYLCV, Culture Surge, and the Chinese-American Planning Council.
